Dyed Charred Ash Brush

These Vegan Climbing brushes are made from solid pieces of Ash hardwood though all offcuts and made with Plant fibre for bristles.

Brushes are 20cm long.

The offcut timber is sourced from waste furniture workshops which would be thrown away or burnt, making this product one of the most sustainable possible.

With each brush handle Is preserved by using the Yakisugi technique, this is where i use fire to burn the wood and then treating it. This makes it stronger and waterproof as it was traditionally used on wooden structures in Japan.

But it makes the grain stand out and gives the wood a glass like finish.

Then I use water based dye to dye these brushes a vibrant colour before laquering them.

These brushes are made with tough Cactus fibre bristles which can be replaced when you have worn it down.

Its Vegan as there are no animal products, its made to be sustainable as its made from potential waste. Making this one of the eco friendly climbing brushes around.
